Banks accepting payments on closed accounts?

i had a bank account forceably closed, but i still had my direct deposits going into the account. i told payroll that i needed my actual paychecks, but they said it'd be 2 weeks before the system recognized it, so 2 weekly paychecks still went in, after the account was closed. i called the bank manager and asked him if he had recieved the monies, and he initially denied it, then conveniently found the record of the payment being recieved. he said that they were accepted as payment on the closed account, but last i checked, banks can't tell you what to pay with your money, or accept money for an account that has been closed. i mean, where would the money go if the account didn't exist due to closure? i don't get it.....also, the ending balance of the account and the amount from the collection agency is the same, so there is no 'credit' to my account. what can i do?

In December I'm going to go to a formal with a bunch of my girlfriends. I don't expect to dance with any guys bc most guys at my home school co-op wont ask a girl to dance with them. Tattoo ointments??

i got a tattoo on saturday while at a festival. while there, the artist and his wife let me use some sun lotions on it. one was spf 50 baby lotion, and one was spf 15 hawian tropic i think. i dont have either of those, and im not sure what i can use on it or not. he wasnt really clear on it, except that the hawian tropic stuff is really good. i was going to get some last night on my way home, but i was too tired. and i cant get any yet either. i was wondring what else i could use on it for today...i know i cant use vaselene, but can i use like, aloe vera...or...can i use the pintments and liquid stuff i use when i get a cut?? like hydgrogen peroxcide(sp)?? any advice would be great...but if ur gunna take the time to answer, pls give me the name of sumthing that worked well for you or sum1 you know rather than telling me to call my artist.

I am looking into buying an a brand new 08 Dodge Charger or Avenger. Anyone here have either one of these cars? Which one do you like more and why? I am a female and fairly young. Both of the cars appeal to me, however I like the Charger more because it has better room. Someone called to offer to buy our home that wasn't on the market?

Today, a known realtor in our town called to say she had a buyer that was interested in buying our rental property. This was completely out of the blue so didn't say much but that I would speak with my husband and get back to her. This is a property that my father owned and we got from him although it is not the house we grew up in. The house is appraised at about $53,310 2 yrs ago and real estate around here is getting beter. The house needs quite a bit of work still, but was recently releveled, has had electric, plumbing, a/c install, few walls, replaced. The $53,310 was the appraisal when we bought the house. Oh, by the way, it is a 100 yr. old 3bdrm. 2 bath.(although one bathroom has had demo work done) A nice neighborhood in the orignal part of town. We were planning to fix up the house( didn't expect it to be so much) and rent it out and possibly sell in a few years. I don't know how this works, do they make an offer first or do I tell them what I want for the house?

A cold engine sounds & runs different from a warmed up one, i know. This sound seems to come from a not so lubricated bearing but goes away after around 30 secs. Not that worried about it but i just would want to know if its normal......thanks

They did some good things. You are correct. They did raise awareness and prodded our sluggish society to go forward in social progression. But to be fair, many things you state were also pushed forward by folks who hardly fit the hippie image. Staid lawyers, grim social workers, union members, and priests, nuns and Christian lay people. None of whom got stoned or wore tie dyed clothes or had long hair. It was a joint societal effort and it made us better, fairer, and stronger.

Would you have another child after being diagnosed with kidney disease?

My best friend has kidney disease as well. I forget what hers is called but she will need a double kidney transplant in the next few years. She has had this disease for 7 years. She has had two healthy babies since finding out. Her pregnancies were both high risk, and she was hospitalized a lot. They really want another baby, but are holding off because of all the medication she has to take. While pregnant, she cant take them and it makes her worse off. If you want another baby and can handle the stress and sickness then that is your choice. You have to do what you and your husband think is right and what you can handle.

My cats back claws...?

So i have a cat thats almost 20 pounds. he has had trouble loosing weight. He was the runt of the litter and was abandoned very young and i feel like he had some developmental issues. anyways, he is a couple years old now and his claws, mainly the back, are just weird. They are like huge and they have like an extra layer of nail surrounding the normal nail that peals off when i cut them and his cuticles are cracked and sore and i feel so bad for him. I bath him a lot bc hes so chubby that its hard for him to reach certain spots. Im going to take him to the vet to see about getting the back declawed but they were especially bad tonight and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to sooth them for the time being. I dont know if i should soak them or put something on them, they were pretty sore tho. Thanks!

Lumps in ??? Please help?

I have multiple pea-sized lumps behind my left testicle. They are very uncomfortable, and you can tell that the left side of the looks bigger than the right side. They aren't on the testicle, and they aren't hydroceles or varicoceles, I know that. I do have some symtems of testicular cancer, but the lumps I am pretty sure aren't on the testicle... Low back pain, fatigue, I think the lymph node on the left side of my groin is inflamed also. I don't know whats goin on... I am 15 years old, not ually active at all. Help please???

I got my kitten tested for Feline Leukemia this past sunday at a mobile clinic...She's not at risk per se, but I needed to get her tested because we are adopting another cat from a rescue that required it. They are still pretty young, and it isn't going to be easy to just set rules all of a sudden, they might not like it. You will have to be very consistent with your new parenting way. I would just make sure they pick up their own messes, the six year old can help set the table for dinner, brush their teeth on their own. I would have them help you with things, if you are doing something ask them to help you out, because if they helped it would make you really happy. Kids like to do things if they know it is for you. They like to make you happy. I'm not really to sure what you would want to know.

I am a 20-yr-old who started experiencing jaw popping/cracking on the right side only about 1 year ago...TMJ?

I have not been diagnosied with TMJ. I was @ my primary care physician shortly after this began. He noticed I could not open my mouth very far. I told him about my recent popping & unability to open my mouth far enough to even eat a banana. He showed me an exercise-Applying pressure to the chin w/ your fist & opening your mouth slightly. He told me this would strengthen my jaw muscles and allow me to gain full ROM again. Needless to say, last summer went by and nothing got better. I went to my orthodontist at the end of the summer w/ several questions & concerns (I have had braces off for approx. 6 yrs, but still go because I wear retainers every night.) He told me to take NSAIDs, use heat, continue the exericse my primary care physician told me, & it should correct itself. Nothing better...I have been at my dentist twice since all this. I have trouble even opening wide enough to have hygiene performed...They said nothing! What do I do at this point? I don't want to live w/ this!

My beloved dog ped away this week and I want to get a tattoo in her memory. What I originally wanted with her name (Lill) in pretty cursive and the ending L connecting to a dog bone. I went to a tattoo shop last night and the artist didn't draw anything I liked. He just keep telling me that what I wanted wasn't going to look good in a year. Hi, thank you in advance for your help! I bought a Packard Bell PC in 2001 running Windows Millennium and at the time I created a master disk, however since making the disk it has now been lost! I tried creating another copy and it now comes up with the message "no backup partition" and goes no further, I then tried to download th recovery disk from the Packard Bell website, but my pc doesn't seem to be reading the Floppy Drive, I can't open a floppy or save to a floppy although my device manager says its working, I just wondered if there is another way to reboot the system? The others are right about the error, but don't listen to them about system("pause"), it's fine. There is nothing wrong with writing platform specific code. Especially if you are just learning the language. It's not like you actually plan on distributing this program to a wide audience. As long as you are aware that "pause" is a windows specific command, and I'm sure you are, there's nothing wrong with using it. Does rheumatoid arthritis go into remission without medicine?

My doc said I have Rheumatoid arthritis. I had all the symptoms. Couldn't get out of bed in the morning. My feet, knees. back, arms, and hands all hurt very bad. I could barely get around. I never went to a rheumatologist because I dont have insurance. He put me on Prednisone and it was a miracle drug. I quit takin it once and symptoms returned in 4 days. Why won't my boyfriend's nipple piercings heal after a year and a half?

My boyfriend had his pierced in October of 2008, and he still gets "crusties" and scabs. However, his nipple piercings have never been infected, according to him. Horse with a stifle issue?

Okay, I have been riding a friend's Thoroughbred mare for about 3 wks. She has explained to me that she had a stifle issue awhile back. I've been riding her, getting used to her, and she's a great mare, just been spoiled and not been ridden for about 2 yrs. She's gotten a bit barn sour and buddy sour though. Anyways, she'll walk and stop fine, but whether I'm trotting or loping her, she has a hard time stopping when I ask her to. So when I try to turn her in circles to make her stop, they start out real big, and then smaller until she finally stops. And there's no problems with the bit because she has a soft mouth. Also, I've been training her for barrels, so when I ask her to lope, she hesitates and pins her ears back and slows down. So I'm wondering whether these issues have to do with her stifle? Do You Believe There Is A Difference Between Loving Someone And Being In Love With Someone?

Of course I would plan to go to bed and yet find the most difficult question to answer...but I want to give it a try. The man I love has said to me in the past "you ARE love" and yet for some reason I have always found it difficult to answer this particular question. The simple difference can be that being "in love" means that you are actually sharing it with someone, and just loving someone can mean that you admire them or feel that you love them even if they do not love you back. The thing that catches me though, is that when it comes to two people who are truly committed to each other, care for each other so deeply, and would do anything for each other...I don't think there really is any difference at all. I think that in a true love that is so deep, the two people in it love each other and are in love...there is no line between the two. Is that possible, because I think I just had one. I myself find it to be pretty outrageous, but earlier I was reading, and all of the sudden it hurt really bad to exhale. I don't think there's ever an acceptable reason to "look down" on someone. Even if they were given equal opportunities in life, there is still no way of knowing their situation or how they ended up the way they did. Perhaps the other person has a serious mental illness, maybe they were abused at home, maybe someone they were close to died and they fell into a depression because of it. I mean, it's hard to know WHY someone turned out the way they did, and I couldn't judge someone who didn't take the same path in life that I chose. How can I improve my city (waco, texas)?

I live in a rough city. I am originally from Norman, OK, and it is a great city with alot of things to do and it is beautiful. But now I live in Waco, and its pretty run down and doesnt have much to offer. Also the crime rate here is pretty unbelieveable. We rank 4th worst middle sized town in crimes per capita! I have many ideas that would improve waco, like haveing parks and more commuity get togethers, but I dont know who to suggest them too or how. I plan on staying here and having a family in a few years, but I definatly want to improve things for when I do have children growing up here. One of my main concerns is drugs, it seems like everyone has the attitude that everyone does it. Also burglary is pretty bad.
