Packard Bell Help Please?

Hi, thank you in advance for your help! I bought a Packard Bell PC in 2001 running Windows Millennium and at the time I created a master disk, however since making the disk it has now been lost! I tried creating another copy and it now comes up with the message "no backup partition" and goes no further, I then tried to download th recovery disk from the Packard Bell website, but my pc doesn't seem to be reading the Floppy Drive, I can't open a floppy or save to a floppy although my device manager says its working, I just wondered if there is another way to reboot the system? I have Windows Millennium on a disk. The model is imedia 4700, thankyou so much for any help on this matter! xx
