I want to say separation of powers. It encompes all of the others. It prevents the President from becoming a dictator. Bi-bicameralism is to prevent the legislature from overpowering itself. Federalism is having the central government. At the time, the federalist wanted to have the strong central government, but also wanted the states their to regulate it. The idea of a republic is basically just voting for public offices.
