Why are Chinese people's homes so filthy?

I'm sorry if I'm being rude, and I'm not trying to be racist--my best friend is Chinese. It's just that in every single Chinese home I've ever been to the parents don't seem to care about cleanliness. Even when I went shopping for new homes, the homes that belonged to Chinese people were disgusting, and they were trying to sell their house! Bathrooms covered in mildew, trash all over the place, kitchen floor littered with crumbs and spills that were never wiped, clutter and dust everywhere. Please someone explain this to me.
