I'm a freshmen his a sopre?

I'm a freshmen and i like a guy that's a sopre in my high school. I have him for 2nd period and i would seat next to him we would always talk so much that i got moved to a new seat. I started having feelings for him after few weeks & i had the courage to tell him how i felt, but the only reason why i even told him to begin with was because he kept asking me and he really wanted to know. He had told me he had a girlfriend but that was before anything had happened but the funny thing is that a lot of sopres had told me that he doesn't have a girlfriend, and after i told him how i felt he didn't tell me how he felt he didn't say " oh I'm sorry i don't like u " or " yeah i like you 2" he said nothing but then he sorta started flirting with me and once during bio i wrote on his friends hand saying " Erik + Stephanie= love " he saw it and he told his friend i was a creeper so now i don't know if i should forget about him or avoid him any tips ?
