What am I supposed to do next, since the online tax service failed to tell me?

Some one once said that you get what you pay for. Well that seems to be the case with several of these "easy" and "free" tax programs. My experience is that it will be very difficult to fix the problem through the so called "easy" online program. This will require determining from the IRS what information was sent to them and amend that return. That can be a bit expensive if you use a professional tax preparer but could be cost effective in the long run.
